KMCC record first victory of the season
A return to fortress KMCG brought victory and a collective sigh of relief from the Kirkby faithful as a weakened Burton Leonard were despatched convincingly. Duncan opening from the top end kept matters quiet but it wasn't until the introduction of Goldie and the dismissal of the dangerous Henry that the game spluttered into life. A few lusty blows from the Burton number four took the score to an imposing 93-2 before Rodney and Duncan hauled the game back in Kirkby's direction. As the Burton tale was blown away, Duncan took 4-25, and the innings closed on 117.
Again an early wicket gave the opposition hope as Kiffer fell for 0 however a positive start ensured that Kirkby were always favourites and confident innings of 43no and 38 by Fraser and Hooks saw KMCC ease home by 6 wickets.Return to previous screen
